Peer Review Process

Publication of articles in the Journal of Physical Education, Sports, and Health Science depends entirely on the scientific validity and coherence of the content as assessed by the editors and/or peer reviewers. They will also evaluate the comprehensibility of the paper and whether it makes a meaningful contribution to the field. The Journal of Physical Education, Sports, and Health Science values the contributions, time, and suggestions of the peer reviewers involved in this process.

Initial evaluation of manuscripts

All submissions will be evaluated by the editors within a maximum of 4 weeks. Although rare, manuscripts of exceptional quality may be accepted at this stage. Manuscripts that are rejected at this stage are generally deemed unoriginal, contain serious scientific errors, or are outside the scope and purpose of the journal. Manuscripts that meet the basic criteria will proceed to a review process by experts in the field. This review process usually takes up to 8 weeks. Publication of the article will be done at least 8 weeks after the manuscript has been assessed by two reviewers.

Type of peer review

Each submitted manuscript will generally be reviewed by two to three experts to assess whether the work has a strong scientific foundation and is well structured, does not duplicate existing publications, and is clear enough to be published. The review process is carried out with a double-blind system, where the identities of authors and reviewers are kept secret from each other to ensure the objectivity of the assessment.

Decision

The reviewers will provide feedback and recommendations to the editor. However, the final decision to accept or reject the article remains with the editor. In some cases, the editor may consult with members of the editorial board to ensure that the decision is the right one. The editor's decision is final and inviolable.
